Our commitment is to develop a coordinated approach to increase physical literacy levels for Albertans and promote linkage and integration with other sectors and partners at the provincial level. While high performance sport will impact very few Albertans directly, all Albertans can be introduced to the basic motor and sport skills in the formative stages of their growth and development. Physical literacy will pave the way for a lifetime of involvement in sport and physical activity.
| Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) Grant |
The CS4L Grant supports the implementation of the Canadian Sport for Life and LTAD framework.
Grants are available for Alberta not for profit organizations for the development and application of the principles of the first four stages of the LTAD framework into program design, development and delivery.
A number of organizations have developed programs related to CS4L. Communities, sport organizations and active living organizations are finding ways to implement concepts related to physical literacy, FUNdamentals, and the ABCs.
