Province invests $10 million into Calgary Zoo expansions

The Government of Alberta is providing funding help for the Calgary Zoo expansion, a move that will bring two adult giant pandas and twin panda cubs to
the zoo in 2018. This $10 million investment will help create jobs and enhance a key tourism attraction.

Non-profit organizations across the province, along with businesses that serve the sector, continue to benefit from funding through Alberta’s Community
Grants programs. Community projects ranging from facility upgrades and construction to support for the delivery of social, cultural and recreational
programs and activities are receiving grants through the Community Facility Enhancement Program and Community Initiatives Program.
