Due to the extreme fire hazard, all hiking trails in Cypress Hills Provincial Park are closed except the Shoreline, Soggy Bottom and Sunset Trails along the south shore of Elkwater Lake.

Please be advised that conditions are only current at time of reporting. Trail conditions can change rapidly due to the park's high elevation and changeable weather.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable time on the Park trails, always travel in a group, pack extra food and water, bring clothing for all weather conditions, and make noise to let the wildlife know you’re in the area. Please notify Park Staff of any trail hazards or unique wildlife that you observe.

Help us “Leave No Trace” in the Park by staying on the trail and carrying your garbage out with you. Thank you.
