There are three lakes located within Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park - Alberta.

Elkwater Lake

Elkwater Lake is our largest body of water and is located adjacent to the Elkwater Townsite. At its widest points, the lake is 4 km (3 miles) long, 3 km (2 miles) wide and reaches a maximum depth of 10 metres (30 feet). The lake contains Northern pike and Yellow perch. The majority of park facilities and campgrounds are centered along the south shore of this lake.

Spruce Coulee Reservoir

Spruce Coulee is located 10 km (6 miles) east of the Elkwater Townsite. The lake contains brook trout. Only manually powered boats are allowed.

Reesor Lake

Originally Twin Lakes, Reesor Lake was created by dam construction in the early 1960s. The lake contains Rainbow trout. No gasoline-powered motors on this lake.
