Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre Education Programs
2011-2012 Education Opportunities in Fish Creek Provincial Park Brochure Maps to the Bow Valley Ranch Visitor Centre | Glennfield Area | Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre The educational programs at Fish Creek Provincial Park focus on students' exploration and connection to a variety of natural ecosystems found there. The Fish Creek Environmental Learning Centre is viewed as a gateway to these field locations, with the ultimate goal being the ecological integrity of the park. Education is viewed as one of the elements necessary to ensure the long term ecological sustainability of this protected area. The centre offers a wide range of teacher conducted, field based programs for students in kindergarten through grade 6. All programs are based on the curricula as set by Alberta Learning and on the mandates of Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Parks Division. These mandates are: preservation, heritage appreciation, outdoor recreation and heritage tourism. PROGRAM WORKSHOPS FACILITIES
