NOTE: Conservation officers are the primary enforcement agents for provincial parks. Contact the officers for any apparent illegal activity in the park.

Wildlife:  In order to reduce the chance of confrontation between yourself and animals living in the park, never feed or harass wildlife. No animals, including garter snakes and frogs, should ever be handled or be removed from the park.

Plants-Fossils-Rocks:  Cutting, picking, defacing or removing any living or non-living material is prohibited. Animals use everything for food or shelter. Objects decay and add nutrients to the soil that the plants need to survive.

Pets: ALL pets must be kept on a leash that is 2 metres or shorter at all times. This protects both the wildlife and your pet. Pets are prohibited on public beaches, in swimming areas and in public buildings.

Litter:  All garbage should be placed in garbage cans. Discarded on the ground, litter not only looks unsightly but also can injure or kill wildlife.

Campfires:  You must bring your own firewood, the park does not supply it. USE OF DEADFALL IS PROHIBITED. Build and contain your fire in the firepits provided and never leave the fire unattended. Have everything you need to extinguish the fire. It is out when you can safely place your hand on the cold coals. Grass fires are a big problem during dry weather so please ensure that your children do not play with matches.

Trails: Use existing designated trails, do not pioneer new trails or cut across hairpin turns. Use only those trails open to the activity you are participating in. Avoid blocking trails when you are resting or in a group.

Motor Vehicles:  The speed limit in Fish Creek Provincial Park is 30 km/h. Watch for wildlife, pedestrians and cyclists sharing the road with you. Off-highway vehicles are not permitted within the park boundaries.

Liquor:  Liquor is prohibited in Fish Creek Provincial Park except in authorized facilities.

Fishing:  If you are between 16 and 65 years of age, you must have an Alberta angling licence to fish in any Alberta waters.

Firearms: Firearms are prohibited in the park. This includes BB guns and slingshots, which are firearms under Alberta legislation and will be confiscated if found in the park. People found harassing the wildlife will be charged.
