For more than 20 years, the Kananaskis Country Environmental Education Program has developed and presented educational programs and support materials that increase awareness, understanding, and promotes environmental literacy of the natural world.

School groups now require a Commercial Guiding and Instructing Permit when visiting parks and other protected areas in Kananaskis Country, Fish Creek Provincial Park, and the Ghost area.

Did You Know... ?
Great Horned Owl This owl, Alberta' s provincial bird, is one of the only consistent predators of the skunk. This advanced hunting ability is made possible by its keen eyesight, offset ears, and its poorly developed sense of smell! It is the Great Horned Owl, a frequently encountered owl throughout Alberta.
