Travel Activities and Motivation Survey (TAMS) examines the recreational activities and travel habits of Canadians and Americans. The survey captures out-of-town, overnight travel behaviour of one or more nights over the past two years. Detailed information is included on visitor activities, motivators, places visited, type of accommodation used, impressions of Canada, demographics and media consumption patterns.

American Market

Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation commissioned reports to focus on the specific activity-based sectors that Alberta offers. The following reports focus on American respondents, and the subset with Alberta travel experience, who stated the activity under analysis as the main reason for one of their trips.
